Cheese fire in Norway tunnel burns for 5 days.

“This high concentration of fat and sugar is almost like petrol if it gets hot enough,” said Viggo Berg, a policeman.

Brown cheese is made from whey, contains up to 30 percent fat and has a caramel taste. “I didn’t know that brown cheese burns so well,” said Kjell Bjoern Vinje at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.

He added that in his 15 years in the administration, this was the first time cheese had caught fire on Norwegian roads.

This Oslo thing is sinking in too slowly…

I grew up there, and this would have seemed inconceivable until a few days ago.

A bomb exploding in Norway.

A loud explosion shattered windows Friday at the government headquarters in Oslo which includes the prime minister's office, injuring several people. I worked as a volunteer for years for the Anti-Racist Centre in Oslo , and always knew of the neo-nazi element in Norway. And what they wished they could do.

And I also have this horrible relief that they weren’t muslims.

Hell, it’s been an emotional few weeks, personally, work-wise and in the world.

Forgive the ramblings of a middle-aged boy.
